Q: I have problems when executing an assembler (16 bit DOS Tool)? The assembler can't find the file or the path, although all parameters are correct.
A: The problem occurs, if parameters are transferred to a 16 bit DOS
application, those the tool can't, or only incorrectly can analyse. This
among other things long path and/or file name can be. Pay attention with
the call of older tools to the fact that them, e.g. during the path specification,
which short pseudonym indicates or still better:
Use in such projects only path- and file names, which correspond to
the 8.3 conventions of DOS. Here particularly pay
attention to the transfer of the parameters by transfer macros.
Q: I can't create any folds, why?
A: This can have several causes, please check out the following points:
![]() |
The file is write protected, this is the default mode after opening. Switch the file under = > file = > unprotect into read/write mode. If the file is larger than the limit in the demo version, then it is not possible to remove the write protection. | |

For this type of file is no syntax filter defined. Complete under = > options = > syntax filters an appropriate filter for the type of file extension. |
